If you are bitten by a snake, do not try to suck the venom out or cut into the bite to let it bleed out. Remove any tight clothing or accessories near the bite as it will swell. Don't get too close to the snake while trying to identify it and seek medical attention immediately. I hate seeing snake bites show up in media as an excuse for characters to put their mouths on each other while teaching audiences the wrong things to do.
